Rooted in our love for God, we believe in loving our neighbors well, through delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere, and a spirit of generosity. We celebrate our culture with every dish, honoring the flavors and traditions while embracing all people as family.
What started as a passion shared at local markets has grown into a gathering place where Puerto Rican cuisine, fresh pastries, and coffee create moments of comfort and connection. Enjoy a quesito, a slice of tres leches, or a cup of café while surrounded by reminders of home, faith, and culture. At La Ampola Cafe, every visit is about feeling welcomed, seen, and cared for.
Founder
Felicia is honored to finally share her love of baking with the St. Augustine community. She first fell in love with the city in 2004 and knew it was where she was meant to live. Since 2021, that dream became a reality, and since then she has cherished the community, her church, and the 'framily' she and her loved ones have gained.
Born in upstate New York and raised in the beautiful town of Cayey, Puerto Rico, Felicia discovered her passion for baking and cooking at a young age. By middle school, she was running a small side business making cupcakes, quesitos, and pastelillos de guayaba for neighbors, classmates, and her mother's coworkers. In high school, she attended a vocational school with a culinary arts program, where she confirmed that baking was exactly what she was meant to do.
